The Annual Economic Conference of the Tax Legislation Association kicked off in Cairo under the theme "A Roadmap to Support the Egyptian Economy," with the participation of Dr. Ahmed Kojok, Minister of Finance, and several experts and public figures in the economic and tax fields. The event was held under the sponsorship of M1, a leading firm in accounting and tax services in Egypt.
The conference aims to design flexible fiscal and monetary policies that promote sustainable development and enhance Egypt’s role as a regional hub for logistics, transportation, and infrastructure, as well as supporting agriculture and the food industries to open new international markets.
Mohamed Rizk, Chairman of M1, stated that the presence of the Minister of Finance played a crucial role in generating important recommendations for the tax community, highlighting the importance of tax services and accounting services in supporting the Egyptian economy and investment climate.
In his speech, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kojok mentioned that a comprehensive program is being considered to support export activities in the coming years, aiming to meet targets while addressing exporters' needs. He also emphasized the government’s focus on promoting economic activities, particularly in industrial and export sectors, as well as transitioning to clean energy.
Kojok added that the financial policy will go beyond fiscal discipline to be more inclusive and stimulating for economic activities, with a focus on improving government debt indicators and creating financial space to increase investments in human development.
